Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, name (if provided via Google sign-in), and the role you select (grower or buyer). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google.

Profile information: You may voluntarily provide your farm or business name, city, state, ZIP code, website, a short bio, profile photo, and product tags. This information is displayed publicly on your profile.

Listings and requests: Information you post in listings, buyer requests, bids, reviews, and messages is stored in our database and may be visible to other users.

Usage data: We track your last active timestamp to display activity status on profiles. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking cookies at this time.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate and improve Lettuce Eat, including: creating and managing your account, displaying your public profile and listings to other users, facilitating communication between buyers and growers, sending notifications about bids, messages, and reviews, and displaying activity and verification badges.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, a hosted PostgreSQL database with row-level security policies. Files you upload (profile photos, listing photos, certification documents) are stored in Supabase Storage. We use HTTPS for all data transmission. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no system is completely secure.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We share information only when necessary to operate the platform (for example, displaying your profile to other users) or when required by law. We use Google OAuth for authentication, which is subject to Google's own privacy policy.

Your Rights

You can update or delete your profile information at any time from your dashboard. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us at lettuceatkansas@gmail.com. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

Children's Privacy

Lettuce Eat is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify users through the platform. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
